Hi, I’m Karthik, an undergraduate student at Carnegie Mellon University, majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Machine Learning. I’m currently playtesting GPT-4 for precise multiple-choice question generation at the TEEL Lab and conducting research in multimodal summarization algorithms at the Safe AI Lab. Previously, I interned at Coinbase, where I implemented fraud detection measures for debit card transactions, preventing significant daily losses. I also have experience as an Undergraduate Research Assistant, where I developed an autograder for a large Python course, enhancing student satisfaction. I’m passionate about bioinformatics, having authored papers under professors, and I’ve developed numerous skills in programming languages like Python and R. In my spare time, I teach competitive programming and math to children at local nonprofits in the Bay Area. I’m excited about the intersection of technology and social impact and am always looking to connect with others who share these interests. If you're looking to explore these fields or are applying to CMU soon, I look forward to connecting!
